Cheap replacement cap/bar sets for AP straps

If anyone is looking for a replacement cap/bar set and doesn't want to bother a TD or pay the steep price of the APBands product, this Esslinger part will do the trick. Diameter is same as the OEM part, only real difference is the male versus female short end. Once installed it looks exactly the same!

For standard ROOs, order 81.032 (23/1.5mm)
For T3/Shaq, order 81.031 (26/1.4mm)

The length given is only for the long part and excludes the cap, which adds about 3.5mm overall.

These are only $4 ea, they do charge to ship but good opportunity to pick up some other parts or tools you need

I edited the OP as Adam from APBands emailed me about my original wording. They are a great company and offer a superior product, I was just trying to point out that there is a less expensive alternative to a niche item they sell... I gladly pay their prices for straps because they are the best after the gen.

I'm not aware of an inexpensive source for conversion links.

So I was putting my HKtan strap on my new Safari and proceeded to pull the cap end out of the strap with a pair of tweezers and ping there it went to never never land. Thank you for this post and solution.

Can these really fit? I am looking to purchase a few (5-6) and Im slightly concerned, especially when the few posts above mention that they are slightly fat. (I am planning to replace the set for my ROO Diver and ROO RC.)

They won't fit.. At least not on a safari which is more than likely the same as the diver.
