Anybody know how much Reg charges for his MBW 1680?

How do I know which base watch to buy if I'm looking to swap out the dial with one from Yuki or wherever? I'm not going to do a bunch of mods. Probably just swap out the dial to get rid of the yellowness...

Only ones I know of that take gen size dials are Cartel, MBW and onwards up to Yuki/Phong territory.

@markh: got the Trevor 1680 and it's very decent base. The CG's are on the short side but overall it's nice. The dial is just painted and no raised lume application, a yuki dial is a definite must have to make this better.

They might be a little short, but the inner shape is nice and really only need to take a little off the oustide.

thanks Bonesey, I reshaped the inner side and was advised to reshape the outer side too, i just don't have to guts (and tools) to do it. The lug holes were also enlarged, I'm waiting for the 2mm springbars to arrive so that I can check it if fits.

What were the lugholes like before you enlarged them? Did they fit gen bars already and you just made them larger, or were they the pinprick holes so the gen bar pins wouldn't even fit through the holes?

The holes were small to fit any gen springbars before they were enlarged, here's the picts.

Comparing the MBW to the one Cartel offers. Which one is better? Especially if you want to modd/age it?
