Advice on GEN Breitling needed

Good day, I have the chance to buy "GEN" Breitling for $300. I know this sounds too good to be true so I am posting a few pictures that the lady sent me. She's quite the drive away from me so unfortunately this is all I can go by.

This is from the actual ad:

"BREITLING Watch 1884 Manufacture en Suisse Cronographe 100 M
B13048 0560 1 35999 MIYOTA Co. Great Working Condition
300.00"

I know the pictures aren't the greatest, but talking to her on the phone she seemed even more "technologically limited" than me.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Nick

Are you going to be picking the watch up in person? If not, then forget it, those pics are not good enough to determine if this is a fake. I would bring a tool to remove the case back and actually view the movement. Start looking for real brietling movements on the internet so you know what you are looking at when you remove the case back. If she won't let you remove the case back, then deal is off. Just my .02.

This price + this quality of pictures => 95 % probability of a fake.

5 % probability of gen only means that, as a Christian, I have to give her a chance. :biglaugh:

Miyota? Really? I say stay away from that. I did a google search and found your listing. The gen for that model houses a Valjoux 7750 Caliber B13. So whoever is selling this is ripping off you nice Canadians.

I'm fairly certain no gen Breitling ever came with a Jap auto movement. Where did she get the Miyota name?
If its actually a Miyota movement then it's likely quartz; did you ask if the second hand ticks once per second?
My guess is it's a faux-chrono 21J.

Edited for clarity.

Great, thanks for all the quick replies. I figured something was suspicious about the whole Miyota movement. Although, looking at this webpage

http://www.clubbreitlingisrael.co.il/24739/Breitling-movements-cal

I noticed a few GENS with Miyota movements.

I probably wouldn't be picking it up in person since she lives pretty far from me.

Again, thanks for all your advice. I think I'll steer clear of this one.

That site references the Pluton and Jupiter Pilot as having Miyota-sourced quartz movements. Of course, the watch you showed us is neither!

Stay away, my friend. :)

How do you see anything with those blurry pictures? Like everyone said, it's probably a rep. Go to an AD if you truly want to verify.
