How is the weight on the V3? The simpler caliber, besides better reliability, should trim a few grams, bringing the V3 closer to the GEN..

The V2 strap is really short for a divers watch.....further more, I like to know about any plans for the spare kevlar strap the gen comes with?

I agree that the build is of better quality. Looking at the crowns etc V2 is far cleaner.
This V3 is going to be around half the price though.

I would still pay the extra as those little things would bug me. Waiting on mine to ship....
And the cloudy crystal and bad bezel lume don't bug you?

I've not really seem the cloudy crystal in any pics and the lume can be modded. Things like shoddy crowns etc cannot.
The crystal clarity disparity is clearly visible in Angus' photos...
As for the relume, that adds significantly to the cost of the watch and the time. The crown is slightly unfinished, I think calling it shoddy is a bit of an exagerration.
The V2 is a great technical achievement for the factory, it is a brilliant rep. But this new model seems to be more practical in every way, correcting flaws that are actually visible when you have it on your wrist.

Still think V2 is better
I have seen good pics and bad pics of V2 like the lume on bezel insert, but overall I like the look of it more, yes the movement replace may be a good update, but the date window is better placed on Dial. And I think they will lower the price of V2 as well, or... Will update to V4 ? I think there will be soon another one version of this watch.Still think V2 is better
I doubt there will be another version. Unless it's the Carbon Fiber version.

I bought the V6 factory version (I think it's the V2) of this watch and it's really amazing! The only thing I REALLY don't like is the crystal.... too cloudy in person... only in a few angles the dial look black, otherwise it's always with this annoying translucid blue effect...
My question is:
Does anybody know where to find a spare crystal for it, so I can buy and then sent it to do a proper AR coating on it?!?
I REALLY need this, because the watch is absolutelly beautiful, and this crystal issue is keeping me away from it....
I bought it from Puretime and I was imformed that they can't provide me a spare crystal... so I'm lost over here....

Interesting as I also have a PT latest version and my crystal is clear. Perhaps Angus will take it back and pick one himself. Email him.
The problem is that here in Brazil this would take a long time...

Meu amigo you can remove your original crystal and do the coating. The AR on the 4000m is single sided thus it is not nearly a strong as what a double AR coating can do for it.
