Replacing pearl on new Ultimate Sea Dweller?

So I've got one of the new Sea Dwellers, and it's a great watch but I'd like to replace the pearl with a watchmaterial pearl. Does anyone know if this has gen bezel construction? A link perhaps to how I might replace the pearl? I'm really wondering if the insert is glued in or not.

It's gotta be glued in and it's not gen construction. I'd remove it from the crystal side and put something on the crystal to protect it, I'd use an x-acto knife probably to get under it- the insert. The glue probably isn't that hard to remove.

Eh....sounds like more trouble than it's probably worth.

It's easy to do.
Heat the bezel with a lamp/hairdryer.
Remove bezel, clean off glue with nail polish remover/thinners.
While still warm, push out dud pearl with toothpick.
Gently file or drill hole until WM pearl fits.
Glue in pearl with good glue.
Glue bezel back on in position, rep sat too high anyway so this is another 'tell' fixed at the same time.
Wear watch and know that you are awesome!

Apply the glue to the sides of the WM pearl and then put it in the insert- wipe off any excess off the insert.

I enlarge the hole with the x-acto blade- just twirl it around til the holes big enough.

BK's old deal was to file the backside of the insert also so it would sit lower in the bezel, hence look more gen like!

Remember you filed the hole very carefully and the WM pearl is a tight fit.
Use an epoxy type glue and while the pearl is in the bezel, apply it.
Put a blob of glue on the back of the pearl and bezel area immediately around it.
Work/wiggle the pearl a little so the glue gets where it needs to.
Wipe off any massive excess, but do leave a bit of a layer to help hold the pearl.

Just removing the rep glue/tape and sticking the bezel back in (I used a small amount of clear auto silicone) is enough to get it into gen position.
No need to go sanding, IMHO.

I literally just picked at it with my fingernails until it came out. Didn't take long.

I put a gen insert in a friends last week. I had to lightly sand the insert to fit.
This was the first time I've seen the new SD in person. I love my SSD, but this new superlumed SD is a very nice watch.

So it will take a gen insert with slight modification?

If so, it would be an amazing watch @ an even better price! :)

Hey Woof, was the old insert glued in? Did you glue or pop in the gen insert?
