She was a little midsize version of the SMP. I wasn't aware there was such a thing as midsize. It came from a slick looking website called trendstime back in '06 for about $200. It was a high search on askjeeves back then looking for those cool fake watches. I didn't know a thing about what I was doing just feeling my way around. I wasn't protected. I fell to those slick pictures, oh so pretty. It was so little when it arrived. I think that thing lasted me all of 6 months. And then I found my first watch forum called RWI

Do you remember yours?

Yup, Yachtmaster 21 jewel movt. piece of shit. The bezel gets stuck when you turn it--Ive still got that thing lying around somewhere... It was like 2004, I was 18-19 yrs at the time and that watch fooled every single one of my friends. We were so nieve then... I wish I could go back there though--damn those were the days.. Thanks for getting me reminiscing. Ah the good 'ol days...

Ah, yes. Mine was a TT Rolex Sub from Afineluxurytime.com (scammer). I had been researching and searching for reps for about a year or so before I pulled the trigger on this one. (I had never heard of RWI or any of the other sites). Thing cost me $220 plus shipping -- and, yes, I fell for the Cashier's Check line and the Big Lie: "You can examine your watch when FedEx delivers it." Of course, no such thing happened. But I was thrilled and it really wasn't too bad a watch; but with all that I've gain here, it certainly wasn't worth the price. I still have it and wear it occasionally. It was my first step... .

Wow that sun appears to have excellent crown height. Sweet watch.

My first rep was a Rolex yatch master I got from a man at the flea market. At the time it was a high end rep, Swiss eta, a little lume, all stainless. I paid 500$ for a rep that would go for 180$ here. I was 19 or 20.

Then I found RWG at first then RG, now here.

I'll play. About 4 weeks ago I bought my first rep form the member sales board. I found this place looking for what I learned was a Pam 111 what I bought was a 177. I always new there were good reps I just didn't know how good they could get. Now I'm totally addicted constantly checking on the sales board for the next must have or at least a must try. For me the beauty of reps is you can test a watch out and see if the real thing is really your style.

A few months before I joined, I purchased a 45.5 PO on rubber from bag12(scam site) for $69 +$45 shipping. I got the watch and it was 41mm. I started a thread asking how to fix the mis aligned dial and R2 was there to help.

I'll join in. About a year ago I saw a Montblanc timewalker in a duty free shop.

A friend of mine is into the rep scene and pointed me to repgeek. My first order to Silix was a scary accurate rep of the timewalker.

Now have the timewalker, UPO, Milgauss, PAM 292K, 16610 sub in my collection and also have and a Explorer II on order.

Drooling over the new PAM 111N, and 243 and seriously considering pulling the trigger on a TC sub.

This is a sickness ...

yep.. early 2009.. started looking for Panerai reps. I saw it somewhere and fell in love of how it looked. stumbled into to RWI.. then RG and finally RWG. even though a pam is what I wanted my first rep ended up being the amazing v2 SOH. I regret selling it to this day

I had no idea that accurate reps existed when I bought my first - a TAG off a Vegas street for $20 some years ago. When I took it back home to examine closely, there was nothing accurate about it. Even the logo was wrong. LOL

My first rep purchase was a few weeks ago, I got started with pam homage watches, then I heard about RG from another forum. After that I have been visiting RG, RWG and RWI for around 3 months, reading up, lurking and researching on what to get.
Finally took the leap, ordering a noob 243, and I can say it won't be my last rep.

Yeah, I remember like it was yesterday... I picked up this quartz Rolex (at least I thought it was a Rolex at the time) for $15 on the streets of Juraez, Mexico back in 1989 or 1990...

Got my first off of Craigslist. It was a 111H, and wasn't to bad of a Rep for my first. I did pay $350 for it though LOL! I then found a site called RWG, which I soon found out what my little gem was worth.
