Hi guys,

I made a trade with a member of this forum, and we agreed to ship both watches with the fastest trackable service available. I shiped the watch via DHL and paid about 60usd, he recieved the watch four days later.

Then on May 10th he tells me he already shipped the watch and should be here in less than 8 days. For my surpirse i wasn't able to track the watch and i pm'd him about this issue. He ansewers back telling me that the service wasn't trackable and he paid 8 pounds to ship the watch.

I've sent him about 4 pm's now asking him to please check with his local PO to see what happened but there's no response from him.

What should i do?

well if its already been 20 days or so and you still havent received anything then i would get a support ticket here to see if any of the mods can get in contact with him.

Are you in same country as your trade partner? Probably a good idea to nicely ask a MOD for a little help. Good for you for not calling member out...yet.

Yes, it's been over 20 days now, i've been calling and visiting my local PO and they don't have any package for me yet.

In my experience with doing trades - both parties need to visit the post office prior to trading to gather the options avl to each party in shipment.

Info needed - Full shipment address including phone numbers for both parties.

Once you know the costs - share with the trade partner and then agree on suitable terms.

All of which to be done in writing. Most importantly the key to a good trade is reputation - if the party is a noob request a security deposit - one which can be refunded through Pay Pal when the item arrives.

This industry like any other is built on track record - the better yours is the more people will deal with you.

Raise your concerns with a Mod.

That's the danger about trading. Is the member an upstanding member with a good track record?

Well he is a VIP, with just one positivie feedback.

He did send me a photo of the shipping reciept. What bothers me is that its already been more than 20 days, my local PO has no info about it and he doesn't respond to my pm's.

Is the other watch being sent from the UK? If he paid eight pounds I'm guessing he is. Who did he ship the watch with?

Regardless, it's very poor that the other party did not hold up the agreed upon shipment method and didn't even bother to check with the OP first. Happened to me once with a seller shipping from US to me in Canada. I asked more than once if he's shipping with a tracking number and he said yes. Once I paid, he shipped it out without tracking and said that it would be too expensive. Of course he could not provide a shipping receipt.

And THAT is the ONLY watch that I have never received!

He shipped via Royal Mail.

Yeah he is the one that wanted the fastest shipping service available and ends up using the cheapest. That's BS
