AP Diver V2 and V3 Comparison?

Has anyone done a Diver V2 and V3 comparison? I am trying to trade my ROO Black Themes for a V3 Diver but i'm getting a few offers for modded V2s.

I know the major tell of the V2 is the small cyclops...but I'd still be interested in seeing a back-to-back comparison. Does anything like that exist?

Does not exist but in all honesty the V2 Diver is a nice watch but wrong in every aspect. View my review about the V3 to see what flaws that one has.

How does the bluish cyclops on the V3 not bother anyone ? Personally, that is a flaw, much easier to spot than any of the others. Every picture I've seen , makes the watch look like it was a blue mark on it.

As soon as I get my V3 back from Vac, I will be posting up pics on the differences.

Mine will not be that good just bc the V2 I have, has mods from Goin.
V2: Lume Job, new glass with a/r, a/r cyclops, screws lowered and service.

My V3 just has lume job and service.

Honesty from looking at the two, there wasn't many differences to the naked eye just looking around, macro pics will probably be different though. The font is the main give away though on the V2 which bugged me hence why I got the V3.

I have noticed V2 being offloaded at dimes bcos of the flaws.

In all honesty unless you know what to look for you probably will think they are the same watch. On the flip side the fact that you are on here wanting to know about the diff's between V2 & V3 then without a date look for V3 and perform some mods.

Prices for a fully modded V2 $400 - $500 2nd hand mkt. Total investment from previous owner being $700-$800 after mods.
V3 - $350 and spend the same to get lume and AR - tot investment - $550

End Result - undeniable a better result.

Will the end result include that nasty blue, gone ? I'm building a grail Panda. With a custom Hornback, lume and A/R. My point is that the changes in the V3 come with a major flaw. A flaw more visible to the naked eye , than the ones in the V2

The V3 is beautiful - the AR on the cyclops is a bit blue, but really not too noticeable. WAY better than the lack of AR on the V2. The font on the face and strap are huge improvements over the V2 as well.

V4 is supposedly h factory if I recall. Noob does a really great job and with minor upgrades on v4, I really see it pointless getting it over v3. There isn't really much you can improve on the v3 to wait even more for v4.

What is the difference with the V2 and V3 cases? I know the V2 is not "1:1" case, but is that visible to the naked eye?

if you have a modded v2 I don't know if it's really necessary to get the v3... maybe I'll change my mind when I have it in my hands on saturday or monday...

Those are the only updates they could perform to get a true 1:1 rep. They should add a low beat movement as well...

You should really consider getting the V3 if you have a V2 and wen't through all that trouble to get it modded to look like the gen. I understand you sunk a lot of money into it but the V3 is 1:1 and when I put my V3 next to my V2 you really notice the differences. The shape of the case is more precise with better angles, the lugs for example are more thinner and sharper. the crown guard is also thinner and shaped. The dial is amazing correct font which really bugged me with the v2 and date window/font miles better, the inner bezel has a small lip up from the dial which gives it more depth. The caseback really makes this rep, I guess you have to see it with yours eyes to appreciate the shape and look. These changes may be small and will not be noticeable unless you handle the watch, but make all the difference after all that's why people spend so much on the gen to get these minor details the desingers spent days planning and how they intended the watch to look and have presence. Flaws are true the date window does have blue tint (although doesn't look as bad in person/mine anyways - and the gen does also) and the bezel screws are not sunken as much as my V2, some screws look almost level with the bezel. All in all a great improvement and really satisfies you to the point I couldn't care less about a V4 and would only swap for the real deal.
