Before we get to the hand bag, let talk about Ken and his service:
1. Communication: 10/10, fluent in English; What do you want more? With a responds time of +/- 24 hours nice and quick. I worked with pics for my order to prevent any issues.
2. Payments; 10/10, via Paypal, just like we buyers prefer.
3. Parcel packing quality: 10/10: double card board box with inner plastic wrap and a ton of tape.

As most of us here a watch-nerds, what do hand-bags mean to us, let me put this to you in watch terms….
The Hermès Birkin is the “Gyrotourbillon-Minuterepeater-Watch of the hand bags… there is no better… END OF DISCUSSION! This is THEY hand bag of hand bags!
In the world of rep Hermès Birkin bags, there are various price-ranges, just like with our so beloved watches:
- +/- 50 USD range; lets call this; “ bought during a holiday, on the beach quality”; no need to review, better buy a plastic bag then this!
- 200 – 400 USD range; no we start talking! Fun to wear and all most everybody will believe it is gen.
- 400 – 800 USD range. This is a serious copy. You need a gen hand bag next to it to see the differences… and still the differences are there! It still stays a rep!
So after reading all of this, lets get to the review. For watches I like to use a 4’step approach; so I will use the same method for this rep:
Step 1: Somebody wearing it walks by and you get a short look at it…
Outcome: 100% no issues at all… all they will think, that is if they know Hermès, like less than 1% of all people do: “look at that rich @#$%&!” Who did she *&^%$# to get that hand bag? A Birkin 35cm Blue Jean Togo is rare, not the rarest, but surely not seen often in wild… not like the black, red, orange versions!
Step 2: Somebody stands next to you, you get a 10sec look
Outcome: Fine, no issues… if you know Hermès, really really well, you might spot the difference, but I guess you must be a Hermès craftsman to spot the differences.
Step 3: Somebody hands it to you, and you can check it out for 10sec…
Outcome: If she/he knows Hermès they can spot the difference, based on: A HERMES product is perfect, 100% perfect, nothing is off, no mistakes, no stitching issues nothing! NOTHING! I am not say that the issues are that big on this bag, but there are some here and there.
If he/she does not know Hermès, they will most likely still think its gen. The craftsman’s ship is good.
Seriously it just like with our watches. On pics they look gen-like, but in hand you can tell the difference due to the small things, if you know what to look for. And also, just like most people have never heard of PANERAI, Franck Muller (side note; I used to have a gen FM and was told it is a fake as “Franck” was spelt wrong…!). most people have never heard of Hermès!
When you talk about Hermès, you’re more likely to hear:
“Hermes, like in the transport company?” Do they make hand bags?
Yes, this hand bag was made by Hermès the transport company….(followed by a long sigh…a very long one)
Mostly we nit-pick on a pic at 500%, and then we find that “X” is 1/10 off and the shade of the font is a touch to something-something! BS!
Step 4: Somebody hands it to you, and you can check it out for a few minutes.
Outcome: Basically like step 3 if you know Hermès and the stunning quality. For a newb to Hermès and if you have a good eye, the smaller quality issues can be seen.
It is not that there are made issues, it is more just like with watches there are differences in a 1-on-1 review.
Here pics and nit-picking comments on the rep vs. a white stitched gen. The 35cm Blue Jean Togo comes in a white stitched version and also a more rare light blue stitched version.
Also, the Jeans Blue is tough take pics off. It various by light and angle….

P.S. I went to the Amsterdam Hermès shop and asked for a suitable box. As they know me (from present shopping), I got champagne, chat AND a gen box. At home I opened it up and it had a blanco certificate, rain jacket, dust bag for bag and key inside. Lucky me…
