Ah, confusion straighted out for me :) And as you notice, have never opened the caseback on my own stock rep, didn't even know they come with fake markings. If you're seriously thinking about going gen, it sounds as you could score both a better price and seller, but again - just my thoughts. To know for sure you could ask him for tagged pictures, one of which the caseback is off so you can see if there's an IWC cal in there, eg 79320.

What? A gen for under $5k. Do tell!

I would like a franken but seems the wait is too long

Sorry mate, my bad, haven't really been looking around to buy gens since finding good reps and appreciating that as more interesting/challenging. Seems to be quite the interest for used portu gens nowadays with going prices around $5.5k-6k at WUS. Without box but they seem to come down toward the $5k mark, like this from fleabay?

Crossing my fingers for you btw!

i was able to get a rep from narikaa. he happened to have one laying around and i couldn't wait for the factories to get back from holiday.

i hear the strap that comes with the watch sucks. any advice on a good one? how is calfskin? this will be my first watch since a cheapo timex 20 years ago. so i kinda forgot what wearing one feels like. i prefer something thin and soft like butter.

i checked out waccex.de and that might be of some note

I found an ad for a genuine band.

He wants a good offer, no low balls.

Does this look genuine and how much should I bid for?

Ok, so after 4-5 days of full use, I have issues.

The seconds would stop only to work again after vigorously shaking my wrists. Temporary fix though.

I then dropped the watch from about 10 inches onto a rug and now the crown won't seem to change time when pulled all the way out. It doesn't even make the last click in doing so.

Help?

Contact your TD and see if there is anything they can do.

Otherwise, find a watchsmith.

I got it from Narikaa. Don't think he carries this normally so not sure what he could do anyway.

Just wondering if anyone else had similar issues with not being able to adjust the time with the crown

There is a reason why people don't buy this model and you have unfortunately found out the hard way. Best looking IWC IMO yet that movement keeps most people away.
