Hi All!

Just like the Title states -

WTB - TT-Datejust or DatejustII - Not getting much response from TD's HELP...LOL, Nobody wants my money..

I would like to have the TT DJ, Slate and Green dial, Oyster Bracelet. OR the DJ Turn-o-Graph in the other picture, again Oyster Bracelet.

First off - does anyone have any recommendations on which one I should get? Eventually, I will have both. But are the Turn-o-Graph replicated as well as the regular DJ??

Secondly - does anyone have some pics of either of these watches to share with me? More particularly the turn-o-graph!!

Third and final - Can someone direct me to a dealer, or if you are a dealer, please feel free to jump in..

Thanks so much on this guys. I am a noob to this site and it is an amazing site. Well put together and tons of info. I have researched the heck out of Rolex Reps and just want to get a DJ for my "Old Man".. Then I can shop for myself...

Thanks again.
TJ

As a noob I strongly recommend NOT using watcheden.

Try contacting any of the TDs through their site, alot of them don't reply to PMs on the forum.

Also I know you want a TT but getting a plated rep is not a good idea (wears off of course) go with the all SS you'll be much happier.

You know what, I shared your opinion. I'm a big fan of SS. But for the Datejust, more so DJI, it is simply stunning and more appropriate.

I just saw this guy in the casino, full of tattoos on his forearms with spike hairdo. Pretty extreme. But instead of wearing a big Pam or a sub, he was wearing a two-tone Datejust. I find it really cool for him to pull that one off. :maty:

Watchinternational is a smaller dealer who is trusted on a couple of other fora. I have exceptionally good experiences there.

Fot the TT DJ they have a version which I think is better than the one you show here (not so much green and white date wheel). They are also very competitive on price:

Are the ones they have on the special price same as Sead's?

Sead, Hont, Marvellous, even Watches International are all good and will take care of you.
Over many years the gold on a TT may begin to wear through. So if this is a 5 year watch, just remember to wipe it down with a clean cloth after most wears - especially sweaty/dirty days.
If you want this to be a 10-20 year investment, then definitely go all stainless.
IF you go TT, try to find one where the mid links on the bracelet are wrapped on all sides. Gold on the top and silver on the sides of the center links is a dead giveaway that it's fake.
For that reason (and others) don't just look for the cheapest price. Overall quality of the watch and dealer responsiveness are far more important than saving $20.
And get the A2836 clone movement - not "Swiss".
Good luck!

I am not sure.
Watchinternational says Noob factory, Sead indicates his is a different source but does not say so.

There are definitely more than one maker out there, but I don't know how many or the differences.

Why exactly?

I have used them with no problems and I would consider myself a noob.

While they do have some satisfied customers they also have had many problems. Quality is Not their top priority, many get incorrect watches, and have problems when dealing with WE, and then have to go to the boss to get matters taken care of.

I think its a big risk to do business with them, their are many more what I call quality dealers here that will take of you. So you have to weigh if saving a few bucks, getting a lesser quality watch, and lots of BS from WE is worth it to you. I wouldn't buy anything from them. I have in the past and it turned out very badly.

Seems weird that they should be a "Trusted Dealer" then, given the above. I guess I should be thankful my transaction went okay. I admit it was ony for a $98.00 watch, so I didn't expect much to start off with. I don't think I would now use them for more expensive purchases.

Theres alot that goes into being a TD here, you can discuss that with the boss.

A TD doesn't mean you won't get the wrong watch, a broken watch, a seized by customs watch, or a crappy watch. It means if something goes wrong RWI will back you and you won't get ripped off. Many sellers you find off board may take your funds and send you a empty box, nothing at all, or a canal st. rep, you get the piece of mind of RWI helping you out when you by from one of our TDs should there be a problem.
