Hey guys, thanks for your nice comments about the Heuer Autavia. :) These watches are really beautiful and if you can find one jump on them, because they're not only timeless but they're also becoming harder and harder to find.

In keeping with the vintage Heuer theme, today I'm wearing my 11630. I have been restoring it sympathetically and it's now finished. This one is a very rare beast. What makes it rare is the white dial. I have only seen two of these emerge in the last 6 years, and I've been looking hard!

Another Heuer beauty, rooster! If I can't find an orange-on-white Autavia for myself, I'll gladly settle for an old Cal. 12 Breitling. :)

Thanks mate! :) If you can't find an orange on white, orange on silver is an easier option. One does come up every now and then. But the Cal. 12 is a great choice too! What do you think of the Transoceans? I've been toying with the idea of getting one for a while, and there are many good and fairly cheap examples around.

The straight-brushed silver dial on that Autavia is pretty nice. I don't think I'd ever pay for a 1019 Milgauss, so that might be the next best thing...

I'm really not much of a modern Breitling guy, but the I've always got one eye open for a deal on a '69 SuperOcean. The styling of the TransOceans Chronomatics aren't nearly as timeless (what with those colors and TV subdials), but I wouldn't turn one down. :)

Off to see the auctions now...

Agree! Though I must admit, I don't mind the subdials and some of the colours//. They are just hilariously retro, but with a nice big case. Mind you, I'd go for a white dial over a blue dial version any day (even for me, the blue dial is just too much).

Gen Vintage today. I love the "tropical" patina on the dial.

After seeing rooster's Autavia yesterday, I just had to wear my Carrera for Friday. Still getting used to mobile shooting:
