What is the current state of Daytona reps?

My two new Daytonas arrived yesterday and I'm more than happy with them! Trevor was very fast with this order. They arrived within a week of me giving the green light on the QC pics.

Some notes:

I put a NOS curved lug Tropic strap on the vintage Daytona and it looks awesome. It's a huge improvement over the clanky cheap sounding Oyster strap.

The 16520 has the newer style strap that feels much more substantial. The sub dial spacing of the 7750 movement in the 16520 really feels like a non-issue when the watch is on your wrist. Maybe the spacing seems more exaggerated in pics.

The vintage Daytona is a 7750 automatic which means that the case is thicker than gen but you really don't notice when it's on your wrist. Personally, I'd rather have an automatic anyway.

I'm loving both watches. Both feel very high grade and gen like to me.

Love the vintage daytona. May I ask how much from Trevor? If he has a black dial we are in business :)

The vintage Daytona was around $200. I just emailed him a pic of what I found on other non-TD websites and he was able to get the watch, no problem. I'm sure he can get it with a black dial.

Wow, I love the vintage Daytona.
I'm not too familiar with this model, did you ever check to see how close the Rep is to the Gen?
The strap makes the watch look great.
Would love to have the link for that.

Thanks

I haven't done an extensive gen versus rep study but it's pretty close. The biggest difference is the thicker case because this watch is an automatic.

The strap is a NOS strap from the 60s/70s. You'll have to search ebay to find one.

Here is a pic of a gen 6263. The 7750 reps are pretty good if you aren't 100% picky.

I have a Invicta speedway, and have always wonder if someone could mod the face and add the Rolex Crown , or swap the face with any of the reps??
Would satisfy me esthetic need. Guess I'm not that picky.

When I was seventeen, I had a Cosmograph on my wrist, and thought "when I'm older"...

Can someone please confirm if this is possible
