Could I Get Some Opinions?

Hi guys,

I was hoping to get some opinions on a watch I am looking to buy for my girlfriend. Its a Wenger Swiss Army Knife Women's Mother of Pearl Dial Watch. I found it on http://www.watchco.com/wenger-watches and think it looks really nice and the price to me looks very reasonable. What do you guys think?

My wife had a watch with a mineral crystal. It was scratched up really fast due to the bracelet/jewelry that she wears with it. That is my only set back to your choice. Any Wenger or Swiss Army watches are really nice I think.

For one it is gen at a relatively affordable $168 price, good points for it. But if you are looking for some good rep build, you may wanna look around our TDs first for similar watches. They may not be "gen" but they have pretty good quality as well.

+1. The Girl and I have had the same issue with every mineral crystal packing watch we've owned. Within the first year, the crystal either picks up a significant amount of scratches, or it cracks. These are watches priced around $160-200, so comparable to this Wenger.

If you crack a mineral crystal you would crack a sapphire as well. Mineral may scratch easier but they are harder to break then sapphire. That's why a lot of dive watches use mineral.

IMHO, with Wenger/Swiss Army watches, you can't go wrong esp. at that price. Swiss build, notoriously reliable, etc. Can't beat it. I have two of them; NOT for sale!

Victorinox are great watches, I have several of their higher end stuff.
Not only that but they re-tweet us
