Excellent photos. I love NYC and Manhattan especially, been living here for the past ~10 years and I can't imagine myself anywhere else!

Great pics, wiz; very glad you had a great time; NYC isn't as scary as people think. Lived there for almost five years & actually met John Lennon (and Yoko) on the outside deck of the Staten Island ferry on a cold January morning in 1971!!

True, NYC feels very safe nowadays. People see no problem in taking their smartphones and tablets out in the subway. In Paris you would get robbed.

But I have to say it hasn't always been like that. It was my third time in NYC, the first time being in the late 90s, and I remember it was a lot less safer at the time. I was staying with some friends who were living there, and there were things we just couldn't do.

This time I never thought about not going somewhere at night for example (well, I tried not to end up in the Queens ).

Yes a lot safer now but they paid a high price for their new found humanity. There's a big hole down town to prove it.

I love travelling. But unfortunately no other trip planned for now.
