Customer demand. Over the years as the hobby has grown, customers are expecting more accuracy, better quality, etc. It's only natural if we want something closer to gen, the price will increase!

also, I just dont mean the 127 - all sorts of new ones are coming out quite expensive - the Rolex explorer white face for example $358 !

I think the prices have been lifted around $100 a piece

What the dealers consider gen croc is actually South American Caymen straps. Just another of the little white lies.
