just my opinion but I wouldn't spend over $50 bucks on a strap for my rep that I paid 250 for. the price of $125 is half the price of your rep.

You're looking at it all wrong. The watch head is a small part of what you have attached to your wrist when you wear a Panerai. The strap can make or break the watch you are wearing. Spending $100 on a good strap for a Panerai is a worthwhile investment. You won't understand until you feel the difference between a handcrafted strap and the junk rep leather straps that come on the reps in the first place.

On my 359 I have a Croc strap from Kain Heritage. It's a light sandy colour with denim blue in the recesses. It's super soft and matches the patina hands/dial with perfection. I spent a long time deciding on which strap to get for that watch. Now I can't imagine it on anything else. In comparison to the crappy black leather one that it came on it's a million miles away. It cost me about $130 I think.

You are also forgetting that once you have a quality strap you aren't limited to keeping it on a single watch. As you change watches you can keep the strap you like.

i do have experience with crappy "leather" they ship the watch with on the pams. i last bought a rep pam five years ago and they are still using the same crappy strap.

you can buy a good calf strap from panatime or don for under fifty bucks and it would look great.

as i stated, just my opinion. i use to be in finance we were are always thinking in numbers.

I completely disagree with you here. I've spent over $250.00 on a strap because they make the watch. I don't particularly like that strap but to each his own.

Can anyone suggest a website that sells straps for thinner wrists?
I have a 6 inch wrist and would need a strap thats around 110/65 or around there. And this would be for a PAM so 24mm.
Thanks.

I think 125/75 is the standard rep size, and probably the smallest i've seen. Why not ask one of our strap makers to sort you out? Also 110/65 for a 6" wrist sounds a bit small.

Contact one of our strap makers here, snpr, bronzy.... I have small wrists also and bronzy always hooks me up.

This way you can get exactly what you want

Bonesey, I was on Panatime.com and under their FAQ they suggested 110/65 for a 6-6.5 inch wrist.

Hmm. Well if they recommend it surely they sell that size?

For me with 7" wrists a 130/80mm for 1950 style pams and I could possible get away with 120/75 on luminors. But any smaller it just looks wrong. Guess it depends on where you like your buckle to sit on your wrist and how much tail end of strap you like. Finding the right strap size for you might take some experimentation.

Which hole on the strap are you using with a 115/75?

My bad, its a 115/80 strap.
Using the last 3rd hole for a slightly loose fit, and the last 2nd for a firm fit of this strap:

^ it looks like you can almost do the last hole too.
But based on that i will for sure need a smaller band. so 110/65 might sound about right.

Not really, actually the last 2nd is the max
It just look loose because of the pre-v buckle.

I think its still safer to get a shorter band, I can always just use like the 4th or 5th hole from the end if its to small.
Anyone know a strap dealer that sells shorter bands, 110/65?
I'm not looking for anything too expensive but prefer a soft flexible band.
Thanks.
