I am curious if other people have this expereince in the UK and more generally in the EU.

I have received two registered packets in the post recently (not EMS), one a watch I bought from a member in Greece and the second a bracelet from Watcheden in Singapore, that has signature required on a big sticker.

In neither case did the Postman want a signature. I actually asked him on the second time if he did not want a signature and he said no.

I find this faintly alarming. I feel like selling one of my watches soon within the EU and wonder if registered post no longer means signature required.

No - I've always had to sign for parcels with a signature request on them, doesn't matter where they've come from (I'm in the UK).

depends on the postman, he just hands me a bunch of letters/parcels sometimes they may miss the label sig required etc but who knows, what i do know is it cost a lot of £ to have the recorded service, disapointed when a signature is not taken.
