Its probably magnetized, try putting it in front of one of those old fat screen T.Vs and turn it off and on 10 or so time. Or put the T.V. on degauss mode.

There's the movement, if it matters. How do I demagnetize if I dont have an old tube tv?

Out of curiosity, how does a match magnetize itself? and how does that affect timing?

Try to push the regulator lever following the red arrow to move it to the right, then the regulator head will move following the green arrow and your watch will run slower.
For a minute/day you will probably need all the displacement to the right (and perhaps it will not be enough).
Anyway try it , it is very easy to do it.
