I'll vouch for Zorro...

I doubt he was aware of any wrongdoing by posting this, but now that he knows, it's a fair bet it won't happen again...

Z, the hundred you're paying me for posting this, you'll pay that by gift, right...? :p

Z is a hell of a good guy. Well known on RG for sure!

@ Shan, he only offered you a Benjamin?
He offered me dibs on his RG Montauk... Sorry I bumped you to 2nd in line mate ;):D;)

Zorro, it would appear that I got this wrong.

Tread more carefully in future and be careful who you recommend.

As promised......sorry.

I know, I feel really bad about it. He told me its because he just doesn't really care for Aussie's...
Totally j/k, he said nothing of the sort!

I'm actually considering picking up a 2nd hand Montauk (whenever one comes available) & getting it RG plated by CLS.

I've met Z (bought a watch from me in a f2f deal a few months ago) and he's a very nice guy.

The problem we UK rep enthusiasts have always had is the absence of a top class watch smith based in London that is prepared to work on reps and is reliable.

We have fantastic modders in the EU like Uwe and Domi but it is always a risk when watches are sent.

In the last 2 years I've had a watch go missing in the UK postal system which was posted from Germany and recently a pair of Dr Dre Studio headphones being seized by customs.

So the message is, if we could find a reliable watch smith in London that can service A7750, 6497 and 2824 movements.....that would be a godsend for us!
Personally I would prefer someone who I can talk to and see working on my watches.
So we live and hope....

(PS: the watch smith in Piccadilly Circus is terrible, who had ruined a previous PAM127 I owned!)

I have met Z this week when he very kindly fixed a loose rota on my MH and have to say he's a stand up guy, very helpful, knowledgeable and a total watch geek.
I would love to have a watchsmith and modder here in London who I knew was experienced at working on the A7750 movements. Someone I could go and meet f2f and simply drop my watch off to them for work. Would be very handy.

sorry for the late report back on the rep friendly watch smith
id like to report had the watch back in a1 condition and running perfectly im very happy with the service and communication which was almost daily and also opted for the water proofing as well .. from my experience i would be using the watch smith with all my watch from now on as its less risk sending it over sea and losing the watch plus its been a real fast turn around !!oh the watch i had serviced was ap sec@12 and its running perfectly .. now !! im very happy with the service

Hi sorrow, who is this watch smith and how do I contact him? I am willing to take a gamble. Ps. I found the guy in Piccadilly to be very pleasant if not a bit mad. But he never had to do any major work for me.

Is there really much risk when sending over seas? I.e europe?

Also be good to know the details of the mysterious London smith if somebody can PM me....

Is he a middle man though?
