Is this add-on safe?

I'm always wary of add-ons and never click unless absolute necessary.

I'm getting this message at the top of my screen when I visit RWI:

This website wants to run the following add-on: '2007 Microsoft Office component from 'Microsoft Corporation'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to run it click here...

Is this recommended and is it safe?

Not sure why, it's something you have set up from your end mate but last time I looked MS Office was pretty safe yes :)

Cheers Col, I'm a complete PC noob.

I can do the important stuff, like post funny pictures and YT clips. Anything else is over my head.

I'm still getting 'Error on page' at the bottom left of my screen too. It doesn't affect the useability of the site though.

There's only one dump I know how to do and it's certainly not a screen dump. :)

How do I go about this Franke?

Screen dump please.

Classic "IT guy". :frusty:

Thats like the doc from back to the future trying to explain how a flux capacitor works. ;)

He may want a screen shot.

It´s like taking a snapshot of your screen. You can then post is as a pic, and i can see whats up.

Ctrl, Print screen. Open MS paint (Start menu, accessories, paint), left click edit, paste.
File, save. Goto photobucket (or whatever), upload saved file and post it here.

RWI does not add anything to your rigg, except for cookies.

Whatever this is, it has nothing to do with us.

Let me guess here: You are on IE, right? In that case, end your online misery by changing to a browser of the 21´st century.

I also keep on getting this ad on pop up (ietag.ddl from microsoft corporation) it only seems to happen on this forum.

So if its my browser I run IE "what is one for the 21st century" if its not my browser any idea whats going on.

Better browsers are Firefox or Chrome.
