Those taper to 18mm, so yes they should work if they have the holes. I tried to use the clasp from my SubC, but it won't work.

Sounds great Q5. I apologize for asking questions about the Rubber as that wasn't really the point of the thread...but it did generate yet another "rubber" owner. I'm going to get one and have a try because I think your Sub and SD look GREAT with it. Thanks for sharing.

Because the rep maker of this strap got lazy. Such a simple thing to get right, yet the detail is lacking as in the original...

In reference to the question about price, since they're the only game in town (besides the reps), they can demand what the market will bear.

This is not to say that the rep version isn't worth having, just not as nice to have as the gen version. We know that the factories can make a great rubber strap when they put their mind to it- maybe the next version will be an improvement.

To your defense, there are photos that show the gen version looking closer to the rep...

Looking at the first image I posted, it has seemed to me that the depth and detail was more crisp on the gen-

No need to use :wacko:...

It seems that there are two different sources for these straps, the version offered by Hont is clearly lacking in detail and depth at the lug line and the spine running down the strap. From what I can tell even without doing a side by side comparison, there's a dramatic difference between the two.

I'll check to see if I can find any better images of your version and the gen to illustrate my point. It's possible it's not as pronounced as it seems to me right now...

OK, here we go...

It seems that the Perfect Clones version isn't as off as I thought, though I think it could use a little more tweaking. The worst by far is the Hont version, which in my opinion isn't worth bothering with.

Hard to tell without having a Gen in my hands. I think there is only one version of this out.
