OK so it sounded like a marble was rolling around inside my auto movement. so I took the back off to make sure there was nothing in it loose. Turns out it is that thing on the back of the movement as it swings around, not sure the tech stuff. It's a Swiss 2836 and I have a 7750 that I suspect is the same thing. What can be done to quieten the sounds? Do they need oiled? Also before I put the back on should grease the O ring with silicon? (I'm thinking that this is a yes.) Watch runs great no issues with time, just noise. Opinions? I'm new at all this so you might have to type it slow for me. LOL

Generally 9010 lubricant is used on the rotor, and used sparingly so it doesnt splatter. It may or may not help the noise. If the watch runs great I wouldnt do much to it.

If you're new to all this hullabaloo I wouldnt be fooling much with a 2836, best to practice on a cheaper movement.

That's what I thought too but what makes it sound like a marble rolling around in there with the case closed? With it open I can see that pendulum swing all the way round and their is no other issues. Great time. Just noisy as hell. Same with a 7750 in a PAM. NOw I know there is some noise as I own an Orient Mako auto but it's whisper quiet compared to the Omega with the 2854 and the PAM 7750. Anything to dampen the sound? I'm not a fan of trying to fix things that aren't broken or oil things that don't need it. Just trying to learn. Thanks
