Hello! I'm a newcomer to this site (but I refuse to identify myself with a term that pegs me as being a hybrid of nipple and boob) and I'm probably completely lost with respect to where I'm supposed to post, but I'm hoping that one of you nice adminstrators can push me over to where I belong.
I have a sister who is absolutely stunning, but you know the phrase: "has a face that could stop a clock"? Well, we're both successful physicians, neither of us flakes or fortune tellers, but the simple truth of it is that there's something about that girl's
electromagnetic field that stops watches dead in their tracks every time. Now when we were younger and had those wind up watches, I don't think that this phenomenon was as obvious, so maybe it's isolated to watches that run on batteries. I think she's bumped off a few mechanical watch replicas from Shenzhen too, but then, some of those are bad enough that normal people can kill those off too. Anyway, the only watches
that seem to survive on her are cheap WalMart Timex's that must run on AA batteries or something and so she'll keep whichever one is working until she's holding it on her wrist with rubber bands because she's so reluctant to give hers up.
So I would love to give her a nice watch that wouldn't be likely to die, but I was wondering whether others have experienced this same problem (I tried do search the forum, but search terms like "watch killers" and "dead watches" didn't bring up anything useful) and what sort of watches are the least likely to succumb to the stresses of
being next to my sister's apparently electricity-repelling core.
Also, while I deeply appreciate having the list of dealers-to-avoid-like-the-plague, it seems that whenever someone has a good experience, the names of THOSE sites or dealers are blacked out. So while I've seen a few names of people that we're supposed to be able to trust, I have no idea where one finds them (or else I'm just looking in the wrong places).
can anyone help me?
Thanks!
