I thought I would pass on a heart warming story of my wife eating the old humble pie.
A couple of years ago I came across this site and after some thought bought a SOSF from Pure time ( I think). It was good, but I yearned for more ( mwaaaaahhh!).
After some more time I came across the BK, and his WM9's. I took the plunge as ordered a LV, waited and waited, and thought I would like some more pain so ordered a black TT. Anyway, much biting of finger nails and checking this site every night for some time.
Obviously my wife thought I was mad - and she only knew about the LV. "why do you need another watch" , "How can you trust some guy, somewhere", you've been ripped off you fool", "I can get one on the beach on Turkey for £20".
Then the LV arrived, she raised an eyebrow ( she only has one!), I could tell she was impressed. All that changed when the TT arrived, again impressed but "why do I need so many". I was made to promise not to buy anymore.
Now, after all these months, with much wrist time for my beloved ( watches!!!), she starts to think about buying one herself, after I refused to let her acquire my TT ( kept for best whilst I wear the LV every day). Of course I reminded her of my solemn promise not to buy another watch! It appears some solemn promises can be broken - but only ones she choses!
Anyway, long story to say I have ordered a BK Sub C for her, obviously the Noob version since the demise of WM9 ( one day we shall know more!). I am certain it will be the usual high quality piece from BK and earn me many brownie points.
But I have the bug again..........
