First from the start just to reasure everyone on board that I have been a member of replica community since its early days (RWG, Repgeek, RWI and others), dealt with almost every dealer on the board (some of them are no longer active such as Eddie Lee, TTK and some others) had no problems with any of them. I always tended to give very precise instruction to dealers when shipping the watch or watches in order to avoid any unpleasant situation and potential mistakes.

I dont know why I have chosen Angus (go figure) and this has been my first transaction with this fine gentleman and his company but I figured out since he is so long active on the board why not give it a try, he cannot be worse from other major dealers on the bord, unfortunatelly I was very, very wrong about it. I have ordered PAM 237 a month ago, gave specific instructions that watch has to be packed inside a toy (as I did it previous 5-6 times due to potential issues with the customs), wrote in the instruction box prior to my order, noted to the live support as well and all I could do I did.

What I got as a new years present is a customs note to come down to their office and prove the value of the watch (WTF? Watch? how do they know it is a watch I asked myself), well easily I again contacted one among hunderds of Puretime emails (this one was tracking mail) as I was advised by the live support that it is much better to contact them in order to resolve this issue. Afterall I got a email reponse from tracking that they haevent packed it inside a toy since they didnt got such instructions!! (I have printed screen from puretime site and order overview where it clearlly shows my instruction that watch should be packed inside a toy), I have to say that I was shocked and apauled by such unprofessionalism and ignorance by the whole Puretime team! They have ignored all my requests and tryed to make a fool out of me by saying oposite from what is writen in their records on the website. I see no easy resolution of this with customs but am sure about one thing and that this is my first and for sure last transaction with this dealer.

First time dealing with PT and you had "hundreds of emails"??

Where you specific about what toy it was to be packed in? Would your Customs not use X-ray equipment to check anyway - especially coming from "Big Green"

I've had reps sent to me in a jiffy bag and was opened by Customs. They weren't bothered and sent them onto me. What I'm saying is Smuggling a watch inside a toy is worse than just sending as-is, IMHO....

Hey bud, chill. Work it out with Augus, customs clearances depend on countries, even if you pack the watch in a toy, they would have scanned it and you will have even more to explain. They would ask you WTH a watch is in a toy?

I cannot really blame the dealer on custom declarations but if you customs has the means to find out the package contains watches, it would have meant that even if you put it into a toy, they would have found out too.

My advice is to work with nikki or angus to resolve this, it is partly their fault too to not put in a toy as per instructions

As I menioned in my post as you seen probanly so far I had 5-6 watches sent inside a toy and no prob at all, this was the first sent as it os and we have a problem all of a suden! Also if you have carefully red my post I am not claiming it is their mistake that customs seized the watch, it is their mistake for not following my instructions it has nothing to do with customs or country. Oh yes, because then you face smuggling charges as you have attempted to hide it. Packing inside toys is just plain dumb. If it's that bad wherever you are, tranship.

1/ What country are you in mate?
2/ If you have been here forever why does your join date say July 10?
3/ Since when do PT have '100s of emails"?
4/ Why did you not wait to see if PT were going to resolve this if they did indeed
make a mistake? Would that not have been better than slandering them all
over the forum? Is this supposed to make them feel any more inclined to help
you?
5/ Assuming you have tried to resolve this (which I doubt since it sounds like this
has only just happened) have you asked the mods here for help? Surly as
someone who has " been a member of replica community since its early days"
you are aware of how these things work?

Not really impressed with this rant TBH especialy from an old hand. It's what I would expect from a noob.

Al, as I menioned before, to game worked as a charm so far. I just hate when people does not follow instructions and afterwards the aftermath of that is evident. That is all.

What country are you located in? Packing something inside something is a straight red flag buddy. Go down to customs and you might have more to explain than the value of the watch itself (i.e. procurement of stolen goods, etc. etc.). That said, if they agreed to your instructions then I guess they should have carried it out. Your plan still remains flawed in my opinion. What I suggest is, for next time.. label it as a watch that was sent for repairs or servicing and is coming back to you, and then tell them that you purchased the watch from someone in your city, etc. Or just SOMETHING better than concealing an item within an item. Good luck.

1. Croatia
2.Go check rwg and my username if
you're that suspicious (there are some oldder boards that RWI but I guess you know that)
3.qc email, tracking email, etc, didnt ment literatelly 100 but more than 2 for sure (mails are not the point)
4.aAready did this and no support other than to say to the customs that it is a gift? This doesent work mate, been there, done that.
5.this is the only thing I haevent done as I see my feedback important for the sake of future customers, you are not kids yourselves, you will either discard this post and go on with angus or will take it into account, that is what reviews are all about!

Not impressed by your attitude either.

All the best. C

Unlike some boards we do back up our members here and if you take the time to contact a sales mod we will look into it for you. If they had indeed said they would use the toy ploy and in fact did not chances are Angus will sort it for you.

Most people are aware that the best way to get stuff into places like Croatia is to use a dealer who tranships via the UK, that is why I asked.

Yes there are boards older than RWI but we have been here a little longer than 2010 ya know.

I wrote explicitelly to be shipped in a toy, if it did worked 5-6 time before why it shouldnt work this time.

Actually it was transhipped via UK.

Proud member btw since 2006, not proud at all by the atitude of some members, back in old days we could discuss this in a more civilized manner.

However my complaint was about the quallity of service and people not following CELAR instructions, why do I have to waste my time and money with the customs if they haevent done their homework you tell me. C

Concealing a watch, or anything for that matter, inside of something just screams "illegal".

Not smart IMO.

And what exactly is civilised about the way you have torn into the dealer before even giving the sales mods here a chance to do their job?

All I can see is a dealer made a mistake and has had no chance to atone for it before getting a new one torn. All it would have taken is a PM to a sales mod and
a word in the right ear from him and you would have had a re-ship.

What he said!

If you did have the watch transhipped via UK then there would've been no need to conceal the watch in a toy as you suggest, which as many have pointed out is a sure fire way to attract attention when they x-ray package! There is no need for customs declaration UK to Croatia so you would've been fine!

I wouldnt call it "torn" negative feedback yes, but in my opinion he deserves it. Others should know about this before they make a purchase at lest so they could now that if they have any special requirements that they should write to all possible emails qc, tracking, sales etc... to make really sure that their instructions are taken into account.

Also is there anyone who is going to compensate me with wasted time and effort at the customs..hm...I think not

Have you red anwhere that I am aksing for refund? Making a claim against seller? I think not.

Anyway thank you for your help and support. C

This happened to me a couple of times and i never bothered mentionining it to the dealer or the boards..
customs snag the watch and you have to prove the value.
you email them the paypal invoice or whatever and they charge you VAT and duty.
Big fuckin deal , pay it and get your watch. i think your lucky buddy that they didnt conceal it in a toy because you'd have a bit more explaining to do if that was the case.
you cant blame the dealer for your customs trying to charge you tax in your country.
