Asking the neighbours is a bit pointless, if the cat decided your house is his new home, he will probably return, no matter what the previous owner decides. :)

It usually takes 24h to have a cat box trained, so there isa good chance he already is.

Little Buddy

I hope you continue your momentum . What you describe sounds very promising so far. Like you , my cat entered my life as a stray looking for a new home . My ' Little Buddy ' is now a constant companion . I couldn't live without him.

I rescued a feral cat which now lives with my 82 year old father and keeps him company.

I'm thinking of a song. I know you know the words. Don't make me sing it by myself.......

Well to update, our new friend decided to go out at 4:30 AM, unbeknownst to me. Very cold day yesterday and I worried about it all day at work. When I arrived home from work she (I think its a female) was there to greet me and my son. I was greatly relieved she survived the night and brought her in for some food and water. She had a veracious appetite and looked weary. She slept awhile and stayed with us until the eveing when she again cried to my wife to go out. I'll see how it plays out but I'm thinking our house is a refuse in the storm for her, which is fine.

+2 yeh if a cat doesn't like it's home , it will find a new one , it obviously likes your home and family or it wouldn't keep returning and refusing to go back to its original home
Good luck :) p.s I have three and they make great pets , it will know what the liter box if for, just place him/ her in it the first time so it knows where it is and that's it , he/ she will do the rest ;)

Thank you

Good gesture ssb. Rep points given.

Sorry I can't help about the cat questions, i'm very allergic, the safe distance I keep means I am not too knowledgeable about them.

Don't understand the rep point thing, but thank you,

Lost my cat "Phyllis" nearly 2 years ago. I had her for 17 years and she was a amazing pet. I still think about her all the time.
