how do you guys tell PAMs apart?

i've owned the 040 and 196 and sure, those look completely different, but is there a system to the numbers? all i can see are tiny details that are different from model to model.

Yup, seems that way. I'm a noob to Pams and still learning.
At first I thought they all looked the same but then started to see the differences in the dials, cases, bezels, hands, etc.

Not to mention the model number changes between it coming with a strap vs a bracelet lol.

Other than RWI I've found http://www.paneraisource.com/ to be a great source of info.

Like UFO's, pam's model number system is one of life's great mysteries.

The only one that makes sense to me is Pam000 Base Model but after that who knows.

At one point I thought I had a handel on some of it.
