Pec,

You come up with the funniest stuff. I'm always sure to get a good laugh when I see one of your posts.

I think this thread has swerved off topic a few times now.

Well, she is pretty fine with it, just the occasional quip about my time spent..but enjoys that I love my hobby...HOWEVER, i just bought an Xbox with MW3 for myself, as I've been way out of the gaming world...Not too sure how she feels about THAT yet...

Oy...Always something... :)

She doesnt get it, at all because she doesn't like "fake stuff". I bought her a gen Marc Jacob handbag for Xmas and she asked me if it was a rep....

Unbelievable.

She treats it like a venereal disease. She doesn't want anything to do with it.

I just bought her a new Merc, and she still gets the shits with a few watches.......

That being said, she does put up with me having way too many cars and motorbikes, so she's a keeper.

As for gay, I've been a lesbian for many years now.

My fiancee embraces it (as much as she can) to support me. She"s more enthusiastic of my car and motorcycle hobbies.

My wife tries to understand my rep habit but she doesn't want any rep for herself regardless if I convince her that "this is a super rep or a franken or something...". No option but to get her this for the holidays.

My wife totally supports my hobbies and will even look at pics and comment on what she likes... occasionally.
And I'm way hard lesbian for her. She's sexy!!

$5,000 invested. It was either going to be 1 nice gen' or 5 nice replicas + 30 or more cheapies as I discovered what I liked.

Firstly, congrats BB for your nice and happy marriage (the most important) and … for your new match box

My wife like watches but not too much, and less the replicas. She prefers gens

She just support my hobby and accepts that I spend “some†money in reps. She don’t know (or it seems she don’t know) the real price of a good rep. But really she think that I‘m getting mad.
I follow a purchase rule: 8 watches for me one for her (rep or gen).

It is worse with the hours I’m in the computer connected to the forum. In this case she is sure I’m mad. And perhaps she is right.

Lastly, I have seen her sometimes looking at my watch boxes…with I think a little of admiration… It means a hope.

In your case, if you win the Member of the year RWI award... you are in the way...perhaps your position improves. LOL

BTW: Congrats for your current results in the Pole

Nowhere near as big into the hobbie as most of you lot....

She can't get her head round it  she already thinks I'm obsessed cos of the amount of money I spend on footwear and jackets, understanding things like watches she simply won't get, same way as I'll never understand her and women in general's obsessions with crap TV and talking too much :lolcina:

Watches are nothing. Try spending $50K on a Chrysler SRT8 and then another $30K to make it as fast as a Corvette ZR1. Currently at 625rwhp and ran 10.95@128mph in the quarter mile. Probably should've just bought the ZR1.

80K on a Chrysler? You could have a really nice M5 for that.

Yeah, I certainly didn't take the easy route. M5's are OK, but I really wanted something American (or canadian). The SRT8 is actually built on the E55 chassis and can be made to handle very well, albeit with some fairly extensive upgrades. The M5's start at $80K and then ramp up quickly to get the kind of real street performance of my SRT8. I shudder to think what Dinan would charge for 625 horsepower at the wheels. There's just something about passing a Porsche 911 on the straights at VIR doing 150mph+ in a car that weighs 4,500 pounds with driver and fuel. Or out lapping a Z06 in the quarter mile with just swapping rear tires out.
