I need to send watch back to trevor

Is it safe to send back watch to China?

U.S. Post office said there is no signature confirmation. I would have no proof if Trevor received watch.

Please, advice me on what to do.

Merry Xmas

You can get a confirmation that it was delivered, it just cost you extra. Go back to the post office again and get another clerk to help you.

Please don't ask another question, I don't work for USPS. I have sent back a couple of watches and the people at my PO were helpful.

As I recall, you may have to add insurance to get a signature confirmation. They DO NOT offer tracking after it leaves the US.

For what it's worth, Joshua requests shipping it back standard air mail cause it's got to go back through Chinese Customs, and they will confiscate it. You should ask your dealer what he recommends and if he will be responsible for loss or seizure.

I've sent back a half dozen watches and they've all arrived, although sometimes it takes a month or more for the dealer to receive it.

I've sent 2 back to China with zero problems, one took 3 weeks to get there and the other took well over a month! Both were sent US First class mail as specified by the dealer.

It will take a while but they will get it eventually....

I guess the usual thing to do it to use USPS First Class Airmail, possibly with registered mail.

Send it out via Express priority mail. Put the description has gears and levers for toy model car. This is one of the quickest as well as safest way to ship the timepiece out. Sending it out first class will be a risk you take as there is no tracking available.

Ignore most of the above and do EXACTLY as Trevor tells you to!

He knows the best way to get it past China customs. If he has not given you exact instructions ask him for them. Ask him how to ship and what to declare it as.

If the reason you're sending it back is because of an issue that can be fixed by a watch repair guy, then I wouldn't bother. I'd get it fixed, adjusted here. It's not worth sending watches back for minor issues.... IMHO.

As a side note, any watch worth getting and keeping should immediately go to a watchsmith for inspection anyway.

I would love to do that for my tourbillion that will be coming, but im not sure if the smith knows how to handle it. Maybe he can still do some basic servicing to it?

If you plan on having it repaired then just send back the head declared as 'parts return to sender'... parts get through easier ;)

I've had complete head exchanges done this way sans strap/clasp.
