Got my first B&R Rep 03-92 PVD

Just got my first B&R rep from a forum member on another forum. What a nice rep it is. It is the PVD version with white markers and hands. It is supposed to have an Asian 2892 movement, but I haven't pulled it out of the case to check yet. It is running about 72 seconds fast in 24 hours, so I'll have it regulated by my watch guy and see if I can get some pics of the movement when he does it.

As for how close the watch is to the gen, I'm not sure, but I think the case thickness is a dead giveaway for the true B&R freaks out there. But since I mostly wear SS bracelets to work, I won't be using it that much. Mostly for casual wear when not at work. I also like the size, at 42mm it is perfect for my wrist. I have less than a 7" wrist, and you can see in the pic that it fits perfect.

By the way, I don't really like the nylon strap, as I think it is too wide all the way around. I wonder if anyone out there would want to trade me for a rubber strap for this nylon. Any takers out there?

Good looking watch, the PVD 03s are hard to come by these days. I have a spare rep rubber with PVD buckle that I'd trade for your nylon. I'll send you PM.

I didn't take a pic of it, but it looks spot on to me. But then again, I'm not an expert on B&R. I'll take a pic later today and post it, and you can tell me if it looks good.

I totally agree. I had a gen 01-92 and just sold it to get a gen 03-92 because it like the look better and I have close to an 8" wrist.

The engravings look accurate to me, though I think the GEN has a PVD screw, not silver.

Nice watch! I have the BR-01-92 PVD and it is my favorite in my collection.

How is the standard lume? I've read that's not easy to relume due to how close are the hands.

It's in my short list (1st Navitimer World - 2nd BR 03-92 SS / white markers) and it will be the first I'll try to mod.

I don't think you can improve the water resistance of this watch. It does not have a screw down crown, and that is the limiting factor. However, the gen is also 100m water resistant, so not really that much better. I wouldn't swim in it if I was you.

As for lume, it is pathetic on this rep. No even close to a gen. But I usually wear my Omega PO rep or my Pam 111 rep if I want bright lume at night.
