I just noticed that my PO's face is off by a bit.
The 12 and 6 are not exactly up and down.

I am comfortable in a DIY project.

Thanks to all.

Hi, welcome to the forum. I would say that you need a caseback opener at least to do this fix by yourself. Arm yourself with 1.2mm screwdriver should you need to release the stem on ETA2824/36 movement. If you use Chinese DG movement, you need a pin to release the crown. However just by tilting the retainer ring a bit, you should get a good alignment. Check your crystal too, it maybe crooked hence it appears that the 12 and 6 don't line up. You also need silicon grease to apply at the gasket after you are done fixing.

Taka,

Thanks.

I have a Sub M and have removed the stem by using a pin to release it.
Since this PO's movement is different, I feel I will need the 1.2mm screwdriver.
Where is the release screw located?

I assume that you have opened the caseback. Stem release button is located at 3 o'clock position. It's a hole, you can insert 1.2mm screwdriver to release the stem.

Bezel is off. The face of the watch looks good. At least that is what I see.

Yeah, you'll want to click that bezel. You know.....the one that moves. In a circle. Yeah, that one.

Sure looks like the stem isn't centered in the tube. I think he can just move the movement with dial attached slightly and solve the problem. That looks like a movement without anything but the plastic ring to hold it in place, and that long stem could easily be not exactly centered without it hurting anything.

Sometimes the dial feet are not aligned properly. I had an Omega with a crooked dial and had to clip the feet of and glue the dial on straight.

Well, that's if you still had the watch...doing my best to keep the thread alive
