Last weekend we had a garage sale in my entire community. Guess what??... My wife woke me up around 6AM to go with her in her shopping spree.
The early walk around my neighbors garages was completely worth it!!:snort: I found a box, but no a regular box..... a cigar box, a humidor one......for only $5 bucks!!
So I decided to start my project .... my new WATCH BOX!
My wife, who always complain because of my $$$ spent in watches and accessories decided to help me. She pointed me to 2 craft stores: Michael's and Jo-Ann fabrics. (I felt kind of awkward going to this places by myself, it was like I was getting inside the movie "Cocoon" with some MILFs in the way)
Anyway, I found what I was looking for and here are the pics of the project:
The US $5 humidor box: It has a few scratches on it, but who cares? It has a glass view top!!
Peel 7 Stick felt : $0.99 each (4 in total)
Basswood Sheets: For the inserts to make the compartments. On sale $1 each (3 in total)
After 1 hour....
Velvet black Pillows: $2 per pkg of 3 (3 in total)
The final results:
So, in total I spent around $18+tax and around 3 hrs at my home office. The box as you can see fit 9 watches in a landscape orientation, one of the watches is a 64mm Invicta Corduba, the U-boat and Bell Ross fits perfectly.
The compartments size is 66mm x 77mm and the box is 27 x 24; but you can remove the inserts and make the compartments the size you want, or is customizable to 6 watches too.
Not bad for my first Wolf Design replica box, ehh?? Let me know what you guys think about it.
Thanks for looking!
