Ok so i started getting curious and found this paint by Floquil, which has a paint called "platinum mist". I got the tools out, scraped away the old "steel" paint and applied the "platinum mist" and let me tell you, wicked close to gen, even more than the Testors "steel" i had posted earlier. I think I've found the gen solution :))))

Ok in the morning I'll take a few. As far as the testors this is a bit lighter. Lighter is what you want though seeing you want it to look white with the silver shimmer to it. IE platinum. But in the morning, I've got to say in the sunlight it's spot on!!

Sorry for no pics yet, I'm getting there. But just use an exacto knife and "carve" it out until you get to raw ceramic...thats all.

Floquil is indeed top quality paint. I've used it before on various projects. A 000 brush and a coat of flat clear enamel would be a good idea to seal the paint.
