I've had this watch for about a year, and never really wore it much. Lately though, it's been catching my eye, and I find myself reaching for it more and more.

It's a 21j beater that I think I paid around a hundred bucks for, so I know it's not the best rep out there. My question is, based on the pics below, can anyone tell me what the flaws of this watch are, and if there is a model that improves on them?

Seeing as I'm wearing this more and more, If there is a substantial enough difference, I'd like to buy a better one..

Thanks for any thoughts...

Oh and almost forgot, the "crystal" has a slight bluish hue to it (AR i guess?) I'm not that familiar with Omega's, Is the gen like that?

Well many flaws, comparing to the latest ones...

HE Valve wayyyyyyyyyyy off
Crown also
Pearl bad
Happy feet logo on dial
Date wheel and date window bad too
Bezel teeth dont exist on either of the models
No globe on the case back
No serial

I would say sell it as to find some founds to go for a new one..!

The pearl and helium valve are the main flaws. The main problem for me though is the bezel......it's orange! I so much prefer this in black.

But yes, in answer to the question, this is well worth the upgrade. The UPO still has minor flaws but, for me at least, it's one the very best reps out there.

Go for it.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I kind of figured, but not knowing much about omega's I was hoping the flaws were minimal and not so easily spotted. Oh well...

Any advice on what to look for/ where to look for a new one? I want this same model, just better...

Oh, and I love the orange... otherwise it's just another watch...

That wasn't a critisim BD, and I'm sure you didn't take it as one.

I just prefer the black, that's all. Each to their own - I've said many times on this forum that if we all liked the same this would be one hell of a boring place.

Go for the upgrade bro and wear that tangerine in good health. :)

I WAS pretty offended that you prefer a different color bezel than I do!!!

(joking of course, you have to be careful, a lot of "sensitive types" around here)

Sometimes for me..I buy the more flawed cheap rep to see if I really LIKE the watch...then at some point I do my due diligence and seek out the best rep I can find and spring for it and wear it a good long time...I have had 2 UPO's and the gen ORANGE 45mm PO and loved em all....my personal opinion is, I have an EXPII and a Submariner so the black bezel looked to much the same, I went for differance. My good friend has the gen Orange PO 45mm chrono..it is sweet man sweet.

I think it just really matters if you want to spend more funds or not, the watch you have is nice and no one will notice the flaws, except us and you, I say save your funds and wear the one you have, its not like another rep won't have flaws also, something to think about.

wear it as it is....and..>>>

take your surplus $$'s and buy another watch....You could spend another $1000.00 on it, and it'd STILL be a replica!!...And like the previous poster said....Nobody but you and us would know....And I promise not to tell!!!....
