Thank you for the honest and true review. I'm new to this hobby and have spent the last 2 months of spare time researching versions, tells, dealers, movements, lume, mods, etc. And all that was just for the DSSD! LOL!
In the end I took a gamble with the dealer I chose in order to save a few dollars. In the end I received an exceptional rep...I also got lucky! Bezel, dial indicators, movement, renaut alignment are all very nice by quality rep standards. Had there been a problem I'm sure I could have had it resolved as my dealer is a respected TD. However, shipping back, waiting weeks on end, etc., would have been miserable.
Going with a guy like BK, in my mind first and foremost provides peace of mind. Peace of mind in that you're 99% sure to get it right the first time with a few nice mods/pre-sale prep tossed in. If there is an off chance something is wrong, the issue will be resolved quickly and efficiently. If that kind of peace of mind and service is important to you enough to spend (up to) two bills more on a rep then absolutely it is worth it.
For me rep #2 is on the way. Pam111M from noob. After seeing Angus's PAM tear-down comparison I couldn't resist. It's honest quality reviews that keep us knowing and keeps noobs like me from pulling our hair out! Thanks guys!

O'yea, and to the OP on the bracelet. After wearing a gen Omega SMP daily for 10 years I thought it was time for a change. I started the process of justification for a gen Sub. A few friends have gens and I asked if I could try them on. The very first thing I noticed was how light/cheap the bracelet felt compared to my SMP. One of them even mentioned to me that fact also (he also owns a gen SMP).
It's really the nature of different designs IMO. After wearing my rep DSSD for a couple of weeks I find it to be exceptionally comfortable...More so, dare I say, than my gen SMP. I find the lightweight bracelet keeps the head balanced very well.
