Hey guys!

Im traveling to Florida, Hawaii and Las Vegas in November.
Im thinking about buying a real Breitling Super Avenger or a Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre 16 Chrono.

Can any of you from the US pls advise normal AD price?

Thanks!

3Fingers, LMAO at your name (maybe its just my dirty mind, but still) anyways if your going to an AD I wouldn't accept anything unless given a 20%-30% off the SR price. Hawaii and Vegas forget about it your gonna get almost no discount, so your best bet is Florida and remember be prepared to walk away if the deal isn't to your liking, alot of these ADs know you want the watch very bad and most will pay whatever the cost is, don't let them do that do you.

Hehe, thanks for the compliment on my nic =)
Just got this tip from tripadvisor: Sawgrass Mills in Fort Lauderdale there is a fantastic discount watch outlet. What is your advise on that?

Oh and my AD in Norway wants usd 6666 for a Breitling SA here. How much can I get it for in the US? The Tag is usd 3833.

is that price with the bracelet? that outlet in sawgrass mills isn't much of a deal either...best bet is take a trip to Grand Cayman and buy there, everything is cheap (jewelry wise there)

I really have no idea of the current prices of those watches but in general I would say 20-30 percent off the SR price which you can eaisly find on the web, best of luck and good travel to you.

i checked on the duty free stuff in grand cayman and wasn't impressed--prices almost the same as here...if you are willing to go used stop in some pawn shops in florida..can get some amazing deals there even though i have never bought anything used like that..remember florida is considered deaths waiting room so a lot of used watches and such sold to them by kids cleaning out their parents estate

not the duty free stuff in cayman, the stuff at kirkland freeport in georgetown. That stuff is priced to move or at least it was when the USD was worth something

I bought my first DJ many years ago in Georgetown, Cayman Islands. It was considerably cheaper than Florida but that was many years ago.

I haven't seen any particular deals locally.

You could always get a used one from a US-based seller on a gen watch forum. You can get some great deals that way, and have it sent to your hotel or whatever. Unless you really want it straight from an AD?

Maybe, but I have trust issues when it comes to huge money transfers between countries. Would I get a real watch or a fake.. and what could I do if nothing showed up? etc..

But what I might consider is buying a used watch from a pawn shop.
Is that considered "safe"?

Fair enough. The trick is obviously to choose the seller very carefully. Good sellers will have plenty of good history on the forum, references, etc. I wouldn't buy without choosing the seller carefully first.

I sold a rep to a guy from Switzerland like this...sent it to his hotel while he was in Vegas for business so we wouldn't have to deal with possible customs issues. Worked like a charm!

The super avenger went for $4200 at the local AD before they raised the prices in June. I think its closer to 5000 now
