How many caseback gaskets on a DSSD?

My recently acquired DSSD fogged up on me, so I removed the caseback to check what (if any) gaskets were in place. There only appears to be one gasket and that is on the central part of the caseback, the outer piece has no gasket, is this correct? I assume the outer piece clamps down on the inner when tightened and (supposedly) provides a seal.

That is correct, you can grease that seal, seal on the crown and epoxy the little HEV valve hole from the inside and you will be good to go

Thanks. I don't know why so many of these reps have little or no waterproofing. This watch set me back $100 and I couldn't be happier with the overall quality (externally) for that price, but it seems the reps always let themselves down with the lack of waterproofing. How hard can it be to seal the HE valve (why not just have a dummy valve) and put some silicone grease on the gaskets when being assembled? If I can buy a 100m Seiko (with no issues) off ebay for less than a $100, why not a rep? I'm wondering whether reps actually represent good value.
