Maybe not really the question to ask here. But because a lot of people from here are also active at repgeek I'll give it a try.

Love reading the RWI forum. Check the forum every now and then for new things going on in the rep scene. Also I got caught up in the PAM adventure. And thinking of buying myself one. This will be my first rep :)

Have spoken to some fellow members and also read a lot of threads. Sometimes these threads or people point to repgeek. Repgeek is stated as also being a great source. (won't leave RWI because this is a great forum. Keep up the good work)!

But now my point. Registering at repgeek is not possible or not working. Send an email to the contact address and pm'ed 2 staff members. Nothing in return.

Anyone who can help me out or tell me what is going on over there?

deftangle, you have 2 matching IP's here for 2 different user accounts. Wanna send me a PM so we can get that ironed out please?

This may be why RG is not letting you register... Perhaps? IDK.

Welcome to RWI.

Thanks R2D4

As for REPGEEK they must make clear on their portal what's going on. Because as stated above by a user and also read on other forums, registration is giving problems. When not accepting new members close the registration part of your forum. Now it is only polluting the user DB because of people keep trying to register.

As like myself who tried several email adresses to see if my email was the problem.

Or is it maybe.....letting the user counter going up and only restrict active users to a maximum.

This all is just a guess. And let's wait. :s

Just pm an admin and the problem will be sorted out. Think its a common problem with rg.

Too busy, too impersonal, unfriendly and, quite frankly, yes...........boring.

Having said that, it's each to their own. I like it where I am.

Offtopic. Just ordered my first rep. A PAM 111M Noob. So curious how it will be.

I'm a member of The Big Four. RWI, RWGbz, RWGcc and RG. Have been for a long time. I have participated in all 4, bought and sold on all 4, used all 4 for intel for various projects and met guys from all 4 including Homage Forums as well however, RWI has always been my home. All 4 IMO have a different flavor and a different level of info and Jedi members. So, surf away, use em all but choose 1 as a home and support it as your home board. Hell, support them all as they all are a great resource in rep'dom.

+1.

They certainly have different flavours, tolerance levels and membership sizes, but are all a great source of knowledge.

I had the same problem as well when I tried to register, almost gave up on trying but one day I decided to try something.

I was using chrome on mobile and went incognito mode, to my surprise I managed to register!

Not saying that this will 100% work, but do give it a try cus that worked for me

The energy on RG is definitely different. Although a member there, I rarely visit. This is because all the information I ever need is here, on RWI. It is true that members on the other site aren't as friendly. Some not friendly at all when inquiring about something so simple. RWI has much more support, positive encouragement, great structure, and endless information. It truly is the only rep site I use.

I've been a member of rwg and repgeek tho I rarely visit either. RWI is the best watch forum around esp since PMWF shut down. I've learned more about watches and gained a new appreciation for movements through the patient interaction with veteran members here who are, without fail, courteous, friendly and informative.

Since almost 4 years back I can only log in but not read anything on Repgeek. Tried to contact the admins, no reply. Since I haven't posted anything on the forum I surely can't have offended anyone either. Weird. Oh well...
