So a fellow member sent me a wm9 v2 sub with a misaligned datewheel.....I had never seen the setup here so I took some pics.....

Also this is being converted to LV and the LV hand for this movement is impossible to find....even BK does not have any.....so we had to improvise rather than to toss the movement and convert to 2836

First the hole size is 70 instead of the 90 in eta 2836
I took the 2836 LV hand and sanded the bottom of it to get rid of the sleeve that mounts on the movement
Next I took the minute hand that was being swapped out and chopped off the end and sanded the top of it just a bit, making sure not to disturb the bottom where the sleeve is.
Next I epoxied the two together utilizing rod going through the center so that epoxy does not get in the hole

I also made sure the LV hand which has a larger hole was basically centered on the base which is was resting on....all that is left is to relume it (all 3 hands) to match. Completed pics to come later

Holy crap, that's some job mate!
Tossing the MVT would be a shame as they are a little gem (until you need to service one then they are a PITA :) ). Not sure a 2836 would fit anyway, I think the crown position is too hight in the case. The watch also ends up a few grams too light without that big heavy spacer.

Could you take this approach to put gen hands on an ETA?

OK update.....this works but the new hand is too thick because I glued the base of the old hand on the bottom pointing down, what I need to do is attache it on the bottom with the sleeve pointing up, it will for sure work
