What's the most I should pay for a used gen croc 24/20 without the deployment clasp? I don't have a pricelist to hand but I know they don't come cheap.

Since you said GEN, I'm assuming he means Breitling. I paid $500 for one some years back. They range from the mid 200's and up. Usually the cheaper ones will be heavily worn. They are excellent straps. I can't tell you how nicely they are made. I've had my strap guy make me one for my GEN SA, and it cost about half. But it's just not as nice as a Breitling.

Thanks guys and yes BMW was correct I meant a Breitling. I have yet to see another croc strap that is as nice as a gen breitling one.

Problem is HK Tan can be slow, I've heard of people waiting almost a year for one of his straps and as awesome as they are I still think the breit croc is nicer. I've managed to source a mint one for 275 shipped.

Unfortunately it's honey rather than the dark brown one I've been after but I figure honey will still look great. Maybe later I'll find someone with a dark brown one willing to trade.

I just soiled myself :).

That's exactly what I want. What kind of oil did you use?

Is there a special way to apply the oil? If you want it back to honey how do you remove the oil?

Na, just lightly rubbed it on with a soft cloth. No going back to honey.

The croc strap arrived today and it is a beaut. The guy wasn't kidding when he said it was in mint condition. He says he wore it once but didn't like the look. Sure enough there's a slight groove in the backing of the long part where the deployment was fitted otherwise it looks and feels brand new. At 270 shipped that was a bargain. As soon as I get the watch back from Smidsy I'll post pictures.
