AP ROO Chronopassion big fault

I just received my V3 Chronopassion from a TD here, and immediately there are faults with the watch.

1) 'Scratch' on the sand-blasted surface which reveals the polished surface. It's a small part, but it's blatantly obvious.

2) Chronograph can start and stop (2 o'clock pusher is working fine). HOWEVER, it can't be reseted (4 o'clock pusher not working). What's worse is that when I stop the chronograph (press the 2 o'clock pusher) and then when I press the 4 o'clock pusher to reset it, it 'starts' the chronograph again. Oh, and when the chronograph is stopped, so will the watch itself.

3) Deployant clasp TOO tight, which makes it almost impossible to pull it out (and close as well).

Right now, it's either sending the watch back to them (which would incur transport charges twice) AND the very long wait. Or, I could fix it locally. Will it be reasonable to send the bill to them since the watch was already faulty the moment I got my hands on it (this watch is about a day old, will the warranty of most TDs cover such defects?)

This is the first time I have experienced such faults from a TD (never happened with my past dealer, but he's been too busy of late so I've decided to give another a chance). I don't want to seem unreasonable and have the rest of my orders being given second treatment (have about 4 watches remaining).

Please do advise, thanks.

I will try to upload photos of the watch to give you guys a better idea, but until I can sort out the reason why I can't upload it to the net, you guys would have to use your imagination to picture the condition of the watch

*Edit: Forgot to mention, the TD offered to send another deployant clasp to me. Whether or not I'll get billed for it is a different story. It may seem elementary to most, but I can't imagine paying more to fix such faults which should have been ironed out in the QC process (looked fine from the pictures)

1: was the scratch not visible in the QC pictures?

2: The TD will likely advise that you return the watch to them (at your cost) they will fix it and then return it to you (at their cost). Depending on the dealer they might give you the option of sending to a watch smith from the board that they have worked with before rather than you sending it back, this will likely not be paid for but more likely you will receive credit with them for the cost of the service/repair.

3: If they are offering to replace the clasp it would most likely be at their expense.

Yes. It isn't really a scratch, more of the sand-blasted surface 'peeled off' somehow to reveal it's polished surface during transit. The QC pictures looked fine (I spent about half an hour glued to the computer screen to spot any flaws in QC). I'm quite against sending it back as I don't want to have to wait so long (to and fro travel time plus time of repair will easily take up a couple of months, while if I just send it and fix it locally, it will be fixed quickly) as this watch is meant to be a gift. No other alternatives?

No idea on the first two, but on #3, my deployant clasp was also pretty tight when I first got it. After a week of opening/closing it it really wore in though :)

If I understand well this is a serious problem, because the sandblasted is not a coating process, it is an abrasive process.
If you have "lost" the sand blasted you have lost a slice of material and this is not normal

ANY kind of "hard rubbing", polishing or similar to the blasted areas WILL make it go shiny pretty easy (from experience)
So unfortunately it´s rather fragile on the surface :(

However I would return it if it´s such a mark on it at delivery to have it corrected, but hard to say without picture so if you can upload something it would be great so we can have a look!

Sorry to hear about the watch mate.

I am sure the movement and clasp can be easily repaired, not so the scratch or whatever it is. So if you can live with that, do the repair, if not, send it back and wait 2-3 month.
Btw, do you have a watchsmith which will work on A7750?
I would return it, this watch needs to be scratch free!

Hi guys, thanks for your responses. Just to give you guys an update, am going to send the watch back to the TD. What a pity though, the AP that I have waited so long for has finally arrived, and now going back to the dealer. Oh well, hopefully the 4 watches that will be coming soon will tide me over....
