A day of frustrations and happiness as I finally manage to get this one piece finished up. It's now dark outside so some indoor non-glamour shots are all I can provide at the moment.

I guess some of the trick is in making it look like you didn't go to a lot of effort and that the results are subtle.

You did a nice job. Did you use a Gen picture as a mold? (So to speak)

I would like to do some of your mods to my 5517. :)

There was a lot of different source pics really. But nothing specific. I just wanted something that didn't look totally mangled, just gently used for a lot of years. I'm looking forward to starting working on ETA models so i can use some good datewheel overlays :)

Looking good indeed mate :D
Might have to start trying some "heavier" modding myself, but sadly there isn´t much time for that but buying a cheap watch and go from there seems like a great experience and learning project.
Maybe not correct as per gen, but how about loosing the mag cyclops? Would be a killer to clean it up further and in the same go not have to worry to much over datewheel look?

Just a thought :)

Wear it well amigo.
