Hi, Gang!

Here's a watch I bought a long while back and just got around to wearing. It's an Invicta Speedway, Model 9212, chronograph with a 20 ATM resistance rating. I paid under $100 for, probably from ShopNBC.com during one of their Invicta promos. Knowing I'll NEVER be able to afford a gen and too broke most of the time to buy one with a good ETA, I purchased this. It's a quartz model; all the functions work; and as is true with quartz movements, keeps excellent time. What do you think? (Pics heavy.) dave:

is there a problem with the chrono-hour sub-dial hand? Doesn't seem to have re-set properly.

I have to hand it to Invicta. They have made a name for themselves making affordable rolex models...Daytona, sub, pepsi gmt.

I knew I guy once that I always thought had a pepsi gmt. One day, I noticed it was an Invicta, That was the first I heard of them...

Good stuff and nice watch. I bet 75% of people assume its a rollie...

I guess they don't get sued because it says INVICTA on it and not something else... ;)

I have the same watch, and really like it... decided to pick it up after realizing the automatic rollie reps have issues, and didn't want to go with a quartz rep...

oh, and to chisin... the subdial at 3 is a 24 hour indicator, not a chrono hour hand... its indicating ~11pm...

I recall seeing something about them having to revise some of their designs after discussions with Rolex representatives, so I think they constantly walk a fine line in terms of legality.

Rolex made them change the coin edge bezel on their diver series..... The watch looked like a Sub with Breitling wings on the dial.

I've always liked the fact that this version of the Speedway has a date window. As classic as the Daytona is, I've always liked a date window on my watches.

No Problem...

Hi, Chisin! No problem with the hour subdial; it's a 24 hour subdial & is telling you the time (in 24 hour clocktime) is 23:00+. It's 11: pm. Thanks for asking.

Also to all: +1 on the comments regarding Invicta's fine line walk within legality. It's true, as mydn... . said about Invicta's use of the coin-edged bezel on their Pro Divers. Invicta did stop it -- for a while, but you now can purchase them with the coin edged bezel; I know because I have two of them -- the classic sub (black) and tt w/ blue dial/gold bezel numbers. Thanks for all the input. I DO like the watch, and, yes, a couple of guys DID ask if it was a Rolex Daytona.
