I bought this watch last week not knowing how good the replicas were. Now I am thinking about bringing it back and buying a replica of the Tag Heuer Calibre 36. Have anyone else bought a genuine watch and returned it to buy a replica?

Not necessarily the same model, but I got rid of my gen 36mm explorer in favor of cash and a now rare wm9 sub.

I thought A7750 is crap until I get my rep tag aqua racer chrono and breitling skyland avenger. They work exactly like gen(pusher at 2 o clock is hard to push). Feel like gen(heavy rotor spinning). After 3 months, they are still working fine, everything aligns properly after reset. I am so convince of it that I sold my eta7750 watch and free up more cash.

I have not been in that exact situation, but almost was. I was looking at a gen and researching it when I stumbled across RWI and couldn't believe these reps could be for real. Now instead of one gen I have many reps that are awesome watches on their own; the fact that they visually appear to be my favorite brands/models is just a plus. :anopsis:

You always got to have at least ONE worthwhile gen in your collection.

Yep. And mine is a Seiko Monster! That's worthwhile enough to me.

I'm currently considering a similar 'crisis'. I've got a gen PO 45mm and it's a fantastic watch, but having bought a few amazing reps and a UPO on the way - I can now see the gen getting very little wrist time.
A gen Moonwatch has always been a 'grail' watch for me, I'm tempted to sell/trade the PO for a gen moonwatch, which would be kept for special occasions, and wear a PO rep as a daily beater....?!

Very curious, my situation is similar to my friend Anopsis one.

I fell in the replicas world searching for a change of two gens (Breguet and Hublot) which the size was very small for the fashion at this moment.

Then I found the replicas world and their awesome quality, with a good selection, the HBB reps, AP reps, Rolex reps, PAM reps, IWC reps... Finaly I found RWI, fortunately...

Now, I'm in contact to the gens only as informative purposes (I have forget them to buy)

I like watches and I very happy in rep world and in RWI

Thanks all

I couldn't part with my gen SMP 2220.80 unless they came out with a Super Duper Ultra 1:1 calibre 2500 lookalike that could fool an AD in India.....

Haven't you heard? All you have to do is tell them the movement tanked and you swapped in an ETA. They'll believe anything! (especially if you give them a cigarette)

And don't forget to pull up in your friend's BMW! Nice cars ALWAYS sell the watch.
Like this one time when I was in an uppity clothing store and the clerk called out my rep, so I whipped out my Porsche 911 keys... ;-)

Is there a "called out my rep" thread? LOL I'd love to hear the stories... I have a giant black Phaeton, which blows a lot of minds because nobody has ever seen one, but I don't think pulling out my VW key would work in that situation!!!!

Well, I have a few GENS, and am actually contemplating selling them as I post this; I have even started a thread about it. http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/gen-owners-converted-rep-keep-81886?t=81886

I have not necessarily "sold" a GEN to buy a REP, but I was well on my to getting a GEN DSSD, but I stumbled across RWI and tried the T4D model and every since then, I have been hooked! So, no I have not "sold" a GEN to buy a REP, but RWI kept me from "buying" a GEN.

Funny thing is that with the additional watches I purchased on RWI, I rarely even wear the DSSD!!! I am REALLY thankful I found RWI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not exactly the same situation, I have a genuine Vacheron Constantin Overseas, and a pretty good replica of it as well, which I wear as a daily beater, keeping the gen for special occasions.

I usually buy the rep first before I buy the gen, I try the rep out a couple months, make sure I really like it on the wrist and all and they decide if the gen is worth buying or not.
