I guess it depends on if you research the particular brand and watch before buying. I know I would. The guy arguing with the OP is probably either a rep forum member or a rolex collector.

My thoughts, exactly... And most probably, both
The thing is, many of the serious watch collectors have both gens and reps... Even if, on gen forums, they (*cough* we... *cough*) will refuse to admit so, even under torture, and will pretend to condemn harshly the reps... "fake watches for fake people, hey!" :lolcina:
