I purchased a beautiful BR2 for a trusted dealer that arrived with a broken bezel. The watch worked perfectly fine and kept good time.

I sent it back to repair the bezel which the dealer did. I received the watch yesterday and the bezel is now working perfectly, but the watch will not start.

I have tried winding, wearing the the watch for hours, etc. to see if that might kick start it and still nothing.

I contacted the dealer and he states that he observed the watch for 48 hours before shipping and that it worked well. I believe him as the watch I returned to him was working fine.

Short of returning the watch, are there any suggestions as to what might jump start this baby. For instance, is it possible that something during shipping dislodged something I should check or perhaps somehow the watch was magnetized? Any ideas?

Have you given the watch a good "bump" into the palm of your hand?

Hand-wind about 15 turns, then screw the crown back in. Thump the watch sideways into the palm of your hand a few times.
If this doesn't start it, then off to China she goes.

If everything is ok aesthetically, wouldn't it be easier and more reliable to send it to a watch smith? The 7750's are mechanical so usually the fix is quite simple...if you know what you are doing...and usually a watch guy does...
