It's throwing me off a little.

Been going back and forth firguring out if I want to go about making a franken DJ
figured if I did this would be the movement / case I'd use.

I could be way way off - please accept apologies if I am.

But didn't a few of the BK/wm9 subs use a ladies smaller movement in them? - Could this be similar?

Yes, I think you are correct. I was trying to remember where else I have seen them. :)

Hm interesting it would make sense .. The size of the movement threw me off. I've only dealt with ...well... "regular" movements haha.
:)

Thank you guys for the info
Now I just have to figure out if I want to make this a Franken or not :p

As the others have said, it's a gen ETA movement, chinese havn't replicated this one, and is found in smaller reps and at one time in some of the WM9 reps. You should be able to see the serial number near the balance wheel along the rim of the movement.

I'll have to take the case back off tomorrow and give it a good look through.
I'm guessing it might be a ETA 2836-2 movement, but well know tomorrow.

Either way I'm happy with this little guy. I think I'm going to start keeping an eye out for a nice gen dial / hands and start the Franken process.

No, its definitely not a 2836 unless it's in a watch about 75mm across :) Gen hands wont fit btw.

Please excuse the smudges and dust.
It's been collecting dust in its box for quite a while.

definitely need a little TLC and a nice capecod cloth clean :p

Would you guys consider this accurate?
I looked online trying to compare it with other DJ's, but with all the variations I got thrown off.

I figure since it has a Gen eta movement in it and was used by WM9 for a while, it probably was a good quality rep.
That said, I know very little about DD and DJ's

Trying to figure out if I should keep this DJ, .. if it just needs a little mod work I'll probably keep it as well.
If the watch isn't very accurate and would require a good deal of work (new case and what not) I'll probably use the movement for a different build.
Decisions decisions.

Just my opinion, but the rehaut looks really wokky and too deep.

I looked up some gen pics of "date just white roman".
I couldn't really tell a difference in the depth of the reheat, but I've always had trouble doing that - sans buying cheap subs ... Those I can tell right away haha.

Anyways that's why I'm asking you guys :p

Thxs for the feedback Bonsey

Here's a few more pics for comparison

Such a classy watch... I gave one to my mother (an ETA rep with MOP white dial) and she wears it everyday. Pictures do not do it justice.
