Just Received My Rep Breitling Watchbox (Pix)

So i just received my Rep Breitling Watchbox. Its actually a little better than everyone was making it seem. From the reviews, you guys made me feel like I was insane for even considering the Rep watchbox. This box will only be temporary. I mean YES i will eventually get the GEN Breitling Watchbox. But for now, considering the SA Blacksteel is my 1st rep purchase..... this will do. Oh yeah the SA Blacksteel is at the post office!!! I'm going to pick it up tomorrow morning!!!

+1 on that. Looks just like my gen box, except the top outer cardboard box cover is different. That's probably just b/c they repped a box from a different year or something.

I got it from Puretime. I paid about $40 bucks for it. It arrived in about 2 weeks. I was surprised that it look as good as it does. I heard some "rep watchbox horror stories". This to me looks like an affordable way that is suitable to display your reps with pride and also give it a "gen-like" look. Honestly all of the fonts look very good. The fonts are clear and legible. To me it looks great. But hey what do I know. I'm just a Rep Noobie!!

it was $40 for the box, i paid $25 for the expedited shipping = $65 total

Trust me close up it's a real poor rep of the gen box. It's great if you haven't seen a gen box up close and it looks ok in photos when you don't have a gen box in the same pic to compare it to.

It's a fair bit smaller than the gen box, the outer cardboard box is way lower quality than the gen and the inner travel case is only about 2/3rd the size of the gen, the wrong shape and far lower quality. Considering you can pick up the gen box for about $20 to $30 more than the rep it really isn't worth getting the rep box. I paid $90 for the gen box including shipping, there was another that went for $80 but mine had the outer box with the planes and I was willing to pay the extra 10 bucks for that.

At some point I'll try and do a comparison review with side by side photos. Not sure I still have the bakerlite box as I lost interest when the lettering faded off but I still have the cardboard box and the inner case.
