I knew that last watch looked familiar!

Maverick- "Tower, this is Ghostrider requesting permission to do a flyby." Tower- "Negative Ghostrider the pattern is full." Goose- "No-no Mav, that's a bad idea." Maverick- "Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the Tower."

After all is said and done someone will buy the above items, as someone designed them, as someone will sell them, and someone will "think "they look good.

Its a free world and thankfully it is, if it wasnt how would we know what is plain riduculous and what is truly ugly ? more than that who around us is woefully devoid of taste

To me there's a certain range for normal watches, then anything above that is a little like the aforementioned bellbottoms.

Nobody says: "I have big hands so I use giant pencils"

True but here's the problem: in a mass-market economy, you can only get something if everybody else wants it too OR if you're willing to pay premiums for those things not everybody wants.

I like my watches to be right around 35-38mm. I can't find these kinds of watches because the current fad is huge monstrosity watches. And I can't afford to pay a premium to get hard-to-find 35-38mm watches.

So my choices are vastly, vastly reduced because of this silly trend. Just as guys who didn't want to buy into the bell-bottom, fat tie, wide lapel look of the late 1970s had a difficult time finding clothing for normal prices.

So other people's gaudy choices make my life more difficult. That's my problem with it. If there were ample choices for 35-38mm watches, then other people could wear their clown watches all day long and I wouldn't care.
